DEJA VU TATTOOS
CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR NEW TATTOO
bandage after one to two hours. You will not need another bandage. Free flowing air, over the surface of your tattoo will help it heal. We recommend A&D ointment or polysporin for the healing process.
APPLICATION
Apply a very small amount of ointment to your clean fingertips. Gently work it into the Tattoo for a minute or two. Then take a clean paper towel and dab off all excess ointment. Do Not leave any ointment on the surface of the Tattoo, this will smother the Tattoo and could result in prolonged healing times, as well as color loss. You are trying to keep the healing Tattoo semi-
DO & DO NOT'S
Do not allow any harsh contact on the new Tattoo. This includes tight clothing. Avoid contact with perfumes, scented body washes, or sunscreens. After healing this is not a concern, and sunscreen is highly recommended.
AFTER HEALING IS COMPLETE!
As stated earlier, Do Not allow the healing Tattoo to get overly moistened, either with water or too much ointment!
**** DO NOT PICK AT THE TATTOO*****
It can and will come out if picked at. let it come off when it is ready. Scarring could also result from picking. Some color will come out during healing, but do not be alarmed, it is only small amounts of ink in the dead skin. Do Not allow direct sunlight on the healing tattoo. Stay out of chlorine pools while healing. Lake swimming is not recommended either. If you must use a tanning bed, please cover the Tattoo with a towel.
WHAT TO EXPECT
slight soreness for 1 to 3 days. Some tattoos may swell or bruise, depending on the location of the tattoo. Your tattoo will probably start to dry out and peel in 2 to 4 days. Scabbing may also occur, do not pick it! Continue using small amounts of A&D or polysporin ointment during this phase. For most people, healing will take 5 to 10 days. Some longer, and in rare cases, some less. When all peeling and/or scabbing appears to be done, you can use an unscented hand cream. Curel or Lubriderm are good. Simply rub in a small amount of cream, directly to the healed tattoo. This will help the new skin stay moist.
HOW OFTEN?
A&D ointment or polysporin 2 times daily, three times if you find it is drying out too fast. Wash with mild soap twice daily. After healing, unscented Curel or Lubriderm once a day.
